Great if you're happy with 7DTD but just want to have more stuff to do. The Overhaul pack adds the same items and content to the game as the expansion with the key difference being that unlike the expansion the overhaul, as the name implies overhauls some basic aspects of the game. Mainly the recipe system is considerably locked down compared to vanilla. The overhaul is intended for those who want a new experience from the game. I can try and get motivated and actually dig into the xml.but what I am saying here is that for me slower progression coupled with higher tier recipes equal a better experience overall. So take something like the repeater crossbow. Perhaps the skill specialization on some truly game changing stuff should rest in the 100 skill point range (or higher) of specialization.

I realize this might not be the intent of your mod and it might not be enjoyable to others either. For me though, drawing out the arrival of endgame is almost as important as adding content to endgame. By moving some skills higher on the tree it would push more cooperation because ERMERGerdNUGGET needs to focus on Fletching and Weapon Smithing so doesn't have points to invest in Medical Marijuana.

This is good stuff so far.The rarity of the screamer, I want to make her more rare because having 7 screamers each day is a little annoying to be honest on a singleplayer/multiplayer server.Īnd ofc one more question What happens if I am on a diffrent pc and I download the mod on my other pc (that I dont have the mod on) will my data and player character be respawned as a new player character? Or will I still have my current player character due to I am not the host of the server. I just wanted opinions and perspectives on how other people were handling their skill trees.
I am not putting the game down in any way.

Then I follow up with mods and skill tree. I may get three archery books early game. I think the books with mods are devastating. The game was definitely harder with out them. Every Youtuber playing 7DTD visit 3 sometimes 4 traders a day. They hand out all the rewards you can handle let alone buy. The traders too me have been very overpowered. I just do not like using Traders to make up for skills I can get with a touch up of the trees. I have been watching Kage848 for about 5 years lol. I have been playing this game for a long time. Horde nights became a walk through quick. Then the Better Bartering and The Daring Adventurer were very OP. The junk turrets early game speed quests up tremendously. I just believe they need tighten up a little. This is kind of what I meant with the post. You'd think it would make more sense to have the skills dealing with farming and cooking in the same skill tree. Something that has puzzled me for a while is that Master Chef and Living Off The Land are in two separate skill trees. There is no choice and that is where the current skill system fails. Unfortunately right now I just have to play with the club if I want to be as efficient and strong as possible. Then I could be able to play with another melee weapon than the club. Give me some steel knuckles that are as strong as a steel club. Give me a knife / machete that is as strong as a steel club. So why should I waste skill points on a tree I don't need anything from just to be able to play with a somewhat strong melee weapon (knuckles) when I could just go with skill points I spend anyway and play with club, which is much stronger and has more range than knuckles anyway.
Miner 69er, Mother Lode and Sex-Rex are too important no matter the playstyle. That is the tree I skill until level 7 for every savegame I play. If I play with the club I have to spend my skill point on strength attribute.
Usually I don't spend a single skill point there. If you ask me that is a pretty bad design.īrass knuckles can be skilled with the fortitude attribute. BUT with the skill tree it is impossible for me to play with brass knuckles unless I decide to not play as good and as effective as possible just for the fun sake. Brass knuckles look fun and cool and that is what I wanted to play with. I have started a new savegame today and I really wanted to play with another melee weapon than the club.
